According to the most recent census data, Kanata Lakes is home to over 17,000 residents with the majority of them being married couples with children. The first homes in the area began to appear in the late 80’s and initial construction continued through to the early 2000’s. They were built around a high end golf course development called Kanata Golf & Country Club which broke ground in the late 60’s. Today, the private club is part of the ClubLink family of courses which requires a membership to play.
Homes in the community range from large single family dwellings to semi detached and row townhouse units that give homebuyers a variety of price points to consider, ranging from the $500K’s to $1M+.
There are numerous developments within Kanata Lakes. These include:

A Chartwell retirement home is located on the other side of the 417 highway, just outside of the immediate community.
When it comes to your kids’ education, there are three schools that are located within the Kanata Lakes community. These include St. Gabriel, which serves as a feeder school to All Saints HS, as well as Saint-Rémi French Catholic School. The main street that runs through the Kanata Lakes community is Kanata Ave. which also serves as the primary access point to Kanata Entertainment Centrum.
